Kansas/Colorado Vacation

We were able to go to Colorado Springs and visit my sister and then go on to Kansas and visit my brother. It was alot of fun! The drive was exhausting as we rented a van and 7 of us piled into the 7 passenger van! It was a little tight. My Mom, Dad, sister Katie, JJ, Josh, Emily and I  all rode together 8 hours to Colorado and then 4 1/2 to Kansas.  Not sure we will ever travel that way again but we survived and got to have a good time with family!  While we were in Kansas we went to Boot Hill which is in Dodge City where I was born. They do a gunfight and there is a cowboy museum. Josh thought all of that was really neat. The next day we went to the zoo.  It was alot of fun visiting with my brother Rob and his wife Jenise and getting to see my nephew Tyler. It had been three years since I had been there! JJ got to do some golfing while we were there but my favorite part was just sitting and talking with my family!

Boothill in Dodge City! Josh loved the gun fight!

Emily and Rob!

Josh thought being in jail was fun!

Josh doing his own gunfight! He would shoot himself, throw his gun on the ground and then throw himself on the ground! Boys, are good at entertaining themselves!

Emily wanted to touch the Giraffe

and Josh wanted to shoot the giraffe:)

In Colorado Springs we went to a place called Garden of the Gods. There are alot of cool rock formations. Josh loved the hike and climbing on the rocks.  It was so windy, Emily did not appreciate that at all.  The next day we went to the North Pole.   Its a really cute place where all the rides are perfect for Josh and ofcourse he wasn't scared of any of them.  Emily  was able to go on a couple of them.  The have a little house where Santa is and the kids can go in and visit with him.  Josh really liked that but Emily did not last very long with Santa but Josh was sure to ask Santa to bring her some dollies and ofcourse he wanted more dinosaurs. Josh and Emily also had a fun time playing with Sienna. We enjoyed visiting  my sister Dana and her family!
